Dr. Gary is a passionate teacher who cares about her
students. She not only cares that she teaches them correct ideas and
information, but she cares about them as people. Her passion for people, life
and education is what drives her to succeed. Therefore, she prepares and works
hard for her students. No stone is left untouched. However, she does not
deliver a lecture where copious notes that must be taken and memorized. Instead
she leads a powerful discussion about real life concerning the topic. The best
part of having Dr. Mallory Gary as a teacher will be that you will learn a lot
more than you expected about the topic at hand. She will open your mind to more
causing you to strive for better.”

“Dr. Mallory Gary is by far the best instructor I have
ever had. She has a great personality
inside and outside of the classroom. Dr.
Gary has a very unique style of teaching.
As a former student of Dr. Gary’s, one aspect I appreciated about her
teaching style was the fact that she always attempts to get her students
involved in discussion. I feel this is a key aspect that makes Dr. Gary such a
unique and successful health educator. Additionally, Dr. Gary treats all of her
students with equality and respect. She
values all her students and their opinions as well. With all of this said, I
utilize information daily that I have learned from Dr. Gary. I have recommended
others to take her health education classes and I will continue to do so in the
future.”

“When Dr.
Gary speaks to people, you can feel the passion for the work she does in her
voice. She is very engaging, and makes the hardest things to learn easier to
learn. I never thought I would have a conversation with someone about the
market system of the United States, but with Dr. Gary, I had that
conversation, and I learned a lot. She opens herself up to others, to be
questioned, to counsel, and to be a motivator. I can say confidently, on behalf
of many, we are grateful to her.”

The first day of class
with Dr. Gary, I knew instantly that I was not going to be sitting in the
average classroom. As a
graduate student taking a 400-level class I was not sure what to expect, but I
was intrigued by the unique energy Dr. Gary brought to her classroom and her
innovative syllabus that challenged students to be active learners rather than
passive students. Dr. Gary is an amazing educator and I am fortunate to have
taken one of her courses!
